Chloe finished her A Levels last year and decided she would dive straight into the world of work. “My mum has worked in pharmacy for 12 years so that’s what sparked my interest,” she says, “I started at Weldricks in September 2019 and I’ve loved it ever since”
In fact, Chloe is so enthusiastic about her work as a pharmacy assistant that as well as working five days a week at Weldricks in Dunscroft, she also does Saturdays at the company’s Hatfield branch and helped out in another branch when Covid-19 reduced its number of staff to just one.
This dedication has not gone unnoticed by Weldricks area manager Stuart Hermiston, who says in his Rising Star Award nomination that Chloe has done a sterling job and been one of the leading members of the team, despite some difficult personal and professional circumstances. Chloe coped “admirably with the Christmas rush” and then “came into the Covid-19 pandemic all within her first six months”, Stuart explains. “I have had nothing but praise and positive feedback for her from all who have worked with her. Having worked with her personally, I am amazed at how competent and level-headed she is for one so young.”
These traits were also highlighted by the judges, with former Spotlight Award winner and Well branch manager Haroon Mahmood saying Chloe is “clearly one to watch”. Chloe recieved highly commended in the Rising Star category.
