Pharmacy teams can be on hand to help customers get through the Christmas season healthily and happily and this can include anything from giving advice on healthy eating to avoiding excessive drinking. But don't forget other winter ailments that can plague your customers at this time of year: colds and flu, sore feet from partying, constipation, headaches, eczema €“ the winter weather and partying can do their worst. 

Make sure your in-store displays reflect the season. Know your products and be able to guide your customers to make the best choices for treating and preventing seasonal ailments, as well as stocking their medicine cabinets and first aid kits ready for any mishaps. Your pharmacy should be a customer- friendly place all year round, but during the festive season it can be particularly important as it's a busy and stressful time of year. Be prepared to give simple, clear messages and make sure yours is the pharmacy that customers want to visit when they're feeling the need for advice over the festive season. You can probably help them with their Christmas present shopping too!

It is also important to make sure your customers know when you're open over the holiday period, so ensure your opening times are properly advertised.
