BLEPHARITIS SYMPTOMS AND MANAGEMENT

Listen out for any of the following that might indicate a customer has blepharitis:

It feels like there is something in my eye, but I can't see anything in there
It is difficult to open my
eyes in the morning
I look like I have
been crying
My eyes feel
itchy and dry
I've always got sleep
in my eyes
I've always have dandruff around my eyes
My eyelids look puffy as if I have a cold/hangover/am tired

BLEPHARITIS MANAGEMENT

Blepharitis can't be cured, but a daily eyelid cleansing
routine can help control the symptoms.

You can advise customers to do the following,
once or twice daily:

  • Use a warm compress
  • Gently massage the eyelids
  • Cleanse the eyelids.
