Scenario
Vicky is serving a customer when a man in the queue suddenly falls to the floor.
“Shall I call an ambulance, Vicky?” exclaims counter assistant Amy.
“Hold on,” answers Vicky. “Can you get everyone to step back a bit and give him a bit of space please. I’ll check his pulse – yes, it’s a bit slow and weak, but OK. He’s breathing, his colour is improving and he doesn’t appear to have hurt himself, so I think he’ll be fine in a couple of minutes.”
“How do you know that?” Amy asks worriedly. “What’s wrong with him?”
