Body Talk: the musculoskeletal system

Part eight of this series looks at the musculoskeletal system and focuses on conditions that can cause problems with joints and movement.

Learning outcomes

By completing this module, pharmacy technicians will:

• Know the components and structures of the musculoskeletal system
• Have a basic understanding of osteoporosis and common musculoskeletal injuries
• Be aware of some other arthritic and non-arthritic conditions that affect the musculoskeletal (MSK) system
• Know some other conditions that cause MSK symptoms, but stem from other body systems.
