Go and watch this example CPPE consultation. The consultation is a face-to-face interaction in a community pharmacy. The video is recorded as a remote consultation, after considering the resources for and environmental impact of recording the consultation face-to-face. We invite you to imagine this as a face-to-face interaction, and we hope this is of minimal disruption to your learning experience.

Access the selected standards table for the ‘Initiating a discussion’ stage of the consultation here. As you watch, decide which of the standards you think the pharmacy professional did and did not demonstrate, and place a tick in the appropriate box in the table.

After watching the video, consider the following:

  • How would you continue the consultation with Fez if you were the pharmacy professional?
  • What questions would you ask?
  • What techniques would you use?
