Dioralyte is back on TV screens as part of a £1.4 million campaign to drive product trial and encourage purchase in advance of the key summer sales period, says manufacturer Sanofi. Their aim is to communicate to consumers the benefits of taking oral rehydration sachets and anti-diarrhoeal medication to treat the symptoms of diarrhoea, in a unique and humorous way, explains Sanofi. The TV ad also reminds users that diarrhoea causes the body to lose essential salts that must be replaced to avoid dehydration.
