Hello lovely readers! The year is absolutely flying – I can’t believe this is our March issue complete!
And brand new for this month... we have developed a module series focused on the pharmacy team’s role in the Pharmacy First scheme. We know the majority of the service will be led by pharmacists, but that the whole team has an important role to play. We are kicking things off with sore throat. We would also love to hear your feedback on the module and if there are any other ways in which we can support you through the service.
I’m also delighted to announce our guest speaker for the Recognition of Excellence Awards has been revealed, read more about Jason Arday. And don’t forget to get your entries and nominations in for the Awards, they close on 4 April, so time is running out! Follow the link to find out more and enter yourself, your team and your colleagues.
This month our Public Eye considers the true meaning of self care, putting preventative screening and monitoring at the forefront, whilst one of our main features looks at health tracking. Though it’s not the be all and end all, empowering people to play an active role in their own health management can really make a difference and community pharmacy teams members like you are crucial to helping them do so.
Enjoy the lighter evenings and hopefully spring will have sprung soon enough.
