Hello lovely readers! Wow where do I begin... what a month we have had at TM! I am so delighted to be bringing you the 2024 Recognition of Excellence (RoE) Awards supplement. We can now finally share with you all the amazing stories of our worthy winners and highly commended finalists. As you will read, we celebrated in style at the House of Lords on 14 June with honoured guests. I hope you enjoying reading about all the accomplishments of our 2024 cohort and that they inspire you and enable you to see the importance of the work that you and your UK-wide colleagues are doing every single day in community pharmacy.
Recognising the work of the whole pharmacy team is so important to us and I have faith that the RoE Awards will continue to grow and keep raising awareness of the importance of every single member of the pharmacy team. I hope too they make you feel your work is valued and that as many of you as possible will be a part of the Awards next year. You can now register your interest to keep in the know for everything RoE 2025.
Now before I give everything away in my comment, I will leave you to get on with the supplement and the rest of the issue. Also this month we have a fascinating discussion on the changing laws regarding assisted dying. As well as a great interview with Karen Baker, Care’s expert pharmacist, regarding how to tackle knowledge gaps in the pharmacy team. It may not be coming home but we still have much to celebrate this month.
