Children under 12 years or anyone complaining of severe pain in the ear should be referred to the pharmacist.

Customers should be reminded never to put anything into their ears.

Cotton buds, fingers or other small objects should never be used to clean the ears because they will simply push ear wax deeper into the ear canal, increasing build-up. The skin of the ear canal and eardrum is very thin and fragile and is easily injured. In extreme cases, this may cause acute pain and even deafness.

Remind customers always to read the label before using any treatments.
