- Hydrocolloid dressings €“ useful for cuts (example: Compeed)
- Skin closures €“ for deeper cuts. These should be used with caution on elderly people, who may have thin skin. If a customer has a deep wound, refer to the pharmacist as they may need medical attention
- Impregnated gauze dressings €“ useful for burns (example: Jelonet)
- Vapour permeable films €“ useful for cuts, grazes, burns and scalds (example: Opsite)
- Adhesive tapes €“ useful for securing non-adhesive dressings (example: Micropore).
