When it comes to abstaining from smoking, there isn't a ‘one size fits all’ solution. As withdrawal symptoms vary, it is important to be aware of the different therapeutic nicotine treatments available and which smokers they best suit.

Tobacco smoking remains the greatest cause of preventable illness and premature death in England. Of course, it's also a fact that quitting isn’t easy. Many smokers have made multiple efforts to kick their habit and have been unsuccessful. The key message to communicate is that while quitting may be challenging, it’s not impossible. A new approach to smoking cessation is ‘harm reduction’. This is the concept that any reduction in smoking, even if it is not a complete stop, has benefits. In short, anything is better than nothing.
