Frontline Plus is the most advanced formula within the Frontline flea and tick range, says manufacturer Merial Animal Health. It contains two active ingredients: fipronil, which kills fleas and ticks, and (S)-methoprene, an insect growth regulator that prevents the multiplication of fleas. Most other flea products only kill fleas living on the pet, but Frontline Plus stops eggs from hatching and infesting the home, the company adds. Pharmacy staff can complete a 15-minute e-learning module on Frontline products.

Stress can upset the delicate balance of a childs’ gut microflora, depleting their immune system and causing symptoms such as an upset stomach and increase their susceptibility to colds and flu, explains Bio-Kult manufacturer Probiotics International. Bio-Kult Infantis, with seven strains of live bacteria, does not contain artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and does not need to be refrigerated, Probiotics International adds.
