Oilatum will launch a new advert in April 2018 to appeal to parents looking for effective eczema and dry skin solutions for their children. The advert will highlight that Oilatum is gentle enough to use from the very first touch and will protect eczema-prone skin, says manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Advertising will also take place on GP screens to drive awareness, with a call to action to speak to pharmacy for an effective solution, and a digital partnership with Amazon and NetDoctor focusing on first-time mums will also be launched, says GSK.

EllaOne contains 30mg of ulipristal acetate. It is the most effective oral emergency contraception at preventing pregnancy in the first 24 hours after unprotected sex, says manufacturer HRA Pharma. EllaOne is suitable for the vast majority of women, regardless of their weight. One tablet should be taken orally as soon as possible, but no later than five days after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure, the company adds.

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is the most common cause of vaginal infections in women of childbearing age. Canesbalance BV Gel is a seven-day treatment that relieves BV symptoms. It helps to regulate the pH balance, which effectively relieves unpleasant odour and abnormal discharge, restricts growth of bad bacteria and supports good bacteria, explains manufacturer Bayer. Niquitin has activated a £2 million media campaign running throughout the ‘New Year, new you’ period, including seven weeks of TV advertising and a digital campaign with targeted social media adverts running until early March, explains manufacturer Perrigo. POS and training materials are also available for pharmacy teams to equip them with the tools and knowledge they need to best advise a smoker and find them the right product, the company adds.
