Eye care

Golden Eye 0.1% w/v eye drops solution is now available as a first-line treatment for minor eye infections such as conjunctivitis and blepharitis. The drops contain the anti-microbial agent propamidine isetionate, which acts against the causes of minor eye infections, eliminating the need for antibiotic treatment, according to manufacturer Cambridge Healthcare Supplies. The eye drops are also available in new smaller and colour-coded packaging, making it easier to display and identify on the shelf and taking up less shelf space, claims the company.

The Clinitas Eye Care Regime aims to help reduce the symptoms of dry eye in three steps: heat, massage and cleanse, and lubricate. The reusable Clinitas Eye Compress offers antibacterial protection and heats the eyelids, softening the meibomian oils that help stop tears from evaporating too quickly, and can be used to massage and cleanse away the excess, explains manufacturer Altacor. Clinitas Soothe Eye Drops contain sodium hyaluronate to provide soothing, long-lasting dry eye relief and are available in 0.2% and 0.4% strengths for mild to moderate and moderate to severe dry eye respectively, the company adds. All Clinitas eye drops are preservative free and contact lens friendly.
