Gluten-free brand Glutafin has launched a range of healthcare professional (HCP) resources to support pharmacies following the introduction of Scotland's new Gluten Free Food (GFF) service. GFF is an NHS initiative that enables patients with coeliac disease to get gluten-free foods though pharmacy without a prescription. €We recognise the responsibility that has been placed on pharmacy teams across Scotland and wish to offer HCPs access to education and support materials that will help them implement the GFF service,€ commented Katie Kennedy, company dietitian for Glutafin.
Glutafin's educational support for Scottish pharmacies includes CPD learning modules for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, educational events and pharmacy support boxes. €There is no doubt that the service is a positive development for people diagnosed with coeliac disease, but also a superb opportunity for pharmacy teams to grow their role within the community even further,€ added Katie.
