Pfizer has launched a medicines optimisation scratch card to help pharmacy teams engage patients with their medicines and recruit them onto services like MURs and the NMS. Developed in consultation with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS), the NPA and the PSNC, the scratch card contains five simple statements about medicines use, along with areas for customers to scratch off to indicate how strongly they agree or disagree with each statement. Pharmacy staff can then interpret the responses and provide appropriate advice and guidance.
RPS president Ash Soni said: €The scratch cards are designed to capture public attention and I welcome any tool that creates opportunities for pharmacy teams and the public to engage in meaningful conversations about medicines.€ The scratch cards will be launched on 20 October.
