Nicotine Replace Gum is the latest addition to Galpharm’s nicotine replacement range. This medicated chewing gum is available in two strengths, 2mg and 4mg, depending on how many cigarettes are smoked per day. The sugar-free, peppermint flavoured gum can be used by smokers who want to cut down or give up smoking entirely and helps relieve some of the cravings and withdrawal symptoms, such as feeling ill or irritable, that smokers frequently feel when they try to give up, the company explains. The gum should be chewed slowly for 30 minutes and with regular pauses to allow the nicotine to be absorbed through the lining of the mouth, Galpharm advises.
