NPA board elections make history

Reena Barai, pharmacist owner of S G Barai Pharmacy in Sutton, has been elected to the National Pharmacy Association (NPA) board for Area 7, Home Counties South. She is believed to be the first Asian female pharmacy owner ever elected and is the only woman on the new board.

Commenting on her new role, she said: “I’m humbled to have been elected and feel privileged to have been chosen by my fellow contractors to represent them. I have aspired to this role and am really keen to make a difference.”

NPA head of communications, Stephen Fishwick, said: “We are delighted to have Reena join the NPA board, as she brings a great deal of energy, insight and acumen as well as considerable communications skills.”
