Rebranding of Lloyds in Sainsbury’s underway

The LloydsPharmacy in Sainsbury's Nine Elms in London is the first to be transformed as part of a nine month rebranding programme, following the acquisition of Sainsbury’s pharmacies by LloydsPharmacy on 1 September.

The rebranding programme, which includes 277 pharmacies based in Sainsbury’s, is due to be completed by May 2017. It includes both in-store and external signage and is designed to raise awareness of the partnership and direct customers to the pharmacy within Sainsbury’s. The LloydsPharmacy range of products and service-led approach is also being introduced to the supermarket pharmacies.

Marketing director at Celesio UK, Sarah Jezard, said: “The LloydsPharmacy brand is synonymous with delivering excellent services and providing expert care. We want Sainsbury’s customers to have the same local community pharmacy experience, in the convenient setting of their local supermarket. Our rebranding programme is an important step toward achieving this.”

Ms Jezard continued: “Operating out of Sainsbury’s means we have additional ways in which customers can access the LloydsPharmacy brand and more opportunities to engage with communities to make healthcare more accessible, which is what we’re all about.”
