The revised national occupational standards (NOS) for pharmacy, which outline the core roles of pharmacy technicians and dispensing assistants, have been approved by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills.

The revised NOS will be used alongside the General Pharmaceutical Council’s (GPhC) review of the education and training standards for pharmacy technicians to help inform the redevelopment of pharmacy technician qualifications.
