Remember, if a mother chooses to give her child infant/follow-on formula and they have more than 500ml a day, they will receive enough vitamin D so will not need to take any supplements. Currently, intakes of vitamin D are not sufficient during the first 1000 days of life, so your role in advising and educating parents is vital.
