Viagra Connect has launched a new trial-size pack for pharmacy retailers to target the millions of men worried about trying an erection problem (EP) treatment for the first time. This comes after research from the brand revealed that of the estimated five-million men who experience EPs in the UK, only four per cent have sought help from a pharmacist.
The new pack containing two tablets aims to facilitate easier conversations and encourage trial among men who need it, as well as offering easier access to the product at an entry-level price, says manufacturer Viatris. In addition, to ensure pharmacy staff are best equipped to have these sensitive conversations, new training materials have been added to the existing suite of pharmacy education, which are specially designed to focus on the negative impact EPs can have on a man’s mental wellbeing, the company adds.
The £5 million two-pack launch is also supported by a marketing campaign including TV, digital and print advertising, as well as in-store and POS promotional materials.
