Head lice brand Hedrin has launched Stubborn Egg Loosening Lotion to complement its existing range of head lice products. The product’s special gel base carries lubricant oil that breaks the chemical bond between eggs and the hair, allowing eggs to slide off easily when the hair is combed with a nit removal comb, explains manufacturer Thornton & Ross. The easy-to-use lotion should be left on for 10 minutes before combing through from roots to tips and then shampooed out, the company adds. It is available in a kit, which includes a fine-toothed comb, or on its own for use with the customer’s own comb.
