Women, take heart

Heart Research UK has launched a new campaign with clothing company Damart to raise awareness of heart disease among women.

#LovingHearts will focus on the misconceptions associated with women and heart disease, as well as offering advice on how women can keep their hearts healthy and reduce their risk of heart disease.

The charity will also be carrying out a survey to find out how much women know about heart health and healthy lifestyles.

As part of the campaign, Damart is donating £4 to Heart Research UK for each of its 3-in-1 jackets sold online. The campaign is being supported by TV cook and Heart Research UK campaigner Sally Bee, pictured, who survived three heart attacks when she was just 36.

Heart Research UK, lifestyle manager, Barbara Dinsdale said: “We hope that women of all ages will take part in our survey so we can gain valuable insights and target the right messages where they will have the biggest impact.”
