Hit the road!

Hello lovely readers! Last month, I alluded to some exciting news in relation to the Recognition of Excellence (RoE) Awards 2023.

Hopefully you will have read our front cover story and now be aware that our Training Matters team intend to embark on a UK-wide roadshow to visit pharmacy teams across Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England. We are SO excited and hope you are all keen to get involved!

To be self-indulgent for a moment, I’d like to share with you some achievements we have had this year. We celebrated 21 individuals and three teams at the RoE Awards 2022 and shared their stories and successes. We launched our Instagram page (go give us a follow for more content). We also produced our first sponsored podcast! Go give us a listen at here (or wherever you get your podcasts). We continue to hold up the hard work of pharmacy teams so please do get in touch with us via email or through our social media channels if you have something to share. We are always here to listen.

Finally, I hope that whatever festivities you take part in this month, you do so happily and healthily with your loved ones. Reflect on the year, take it in your stride and maybe read our Public Eye piece on burnout in pharmacy teams to remind yourselves to not only care for your customers and patients but also yourselves and each other.
