The last module in our Pharmacy First series looks at how pharmacy teams can communicate with customers about the service, as well as how to manage those who may not understand – or accept – that they are ineligible.

Building good relationships with customers is a key part of the community pharmacy offering, and it’s no different when it comes to Pharmacy First.

The whole pharmacy team can be involved in promoting this service and help identify potentially eligible patients, but since not every interaction will end up in a clinical pathway consultation, it’s useful to know how to explain the different aspects of Pharmacy First to customers – and how to help them if they don’t qualify.
