The Recognition of Excellence Awards is the only national awards exclusively for community pharmacy support staff, and focuses on one thing: rewarding hard-working and dedicated individuals who go above and beyond the call of duty to support their customers, patients, pharmacies and communities.
Whether you’re a medicines counter assistant, delivery driver, dispensing assistant, health champion, pharmacy technician, team leader or non-pharmacist manager, we want to hear from you!
You may enter into as many of the following categories as you wish and you can enter yourself or nominate another member of your pharmacy support team. And if you’re a pharmacist or area manager with fantastic support staff then you can nominate individuals who you feel deserve recognition.

To reward a member of the team who excels in OTC product knowledge and is highly skilled at recognising symptoms and recommending the right products along with the right advice and referring appropriately.
To recognise someone who demonstrates excellent consultation skills and has consistently provided excellent customer care or gone the extra mile to help a customer.
To recognise a member of the team who is raising awareness of public health and helping their customers to live healthier lives, whether that’s through activities in the community, creating engaging displays within the pharmacy or through other innovative means.
To reward a team member who champions infant care and nutrition, excels at providing advice and knowledge to concerned parents and parents-to-be and helps to engage children with their health.
To recognise someone who has demonstrated dedication to community pharmacy and supporting customers and patients, whether that's over the course of their career, or someone who has made a significant impact through a particular project or area of work.
To recognise a pharmacy team member who has raised awareness of their pharmacy and promoted its services within the local community through marketing campaigns, social media and/or other innovative activities.
To reward someone who can demonstrate a sound understanding of category management and who has implemented skills and ideas that have increased OTC sales and benefitted their pharmacy.
To reward someone who has started their pharmacy career in the last two years and is excelling in all aspects of their role, embracing training and opportunities and making an impact on their pharmacy and community.
To reward someone who is making waves in their pharmacy and supporting their community with specialist services such as sexual health, drug misuse, smoking, weight management and vaccinations.
To reward a senior support team member who has stepped up and is managing all or part of the pharmacy and successfully leading a team.
To recognise a team member who is embracing technological change and integrating innovative processes and products into the pharmacy for the benefit of colleagues and/or customers and patients.
This could include integrating robotic dispensing into the workflow and using it as a marketing device for the pharmacy; making best use of technological solutions such as electronic CD registers or PMR systems to aid in the running of the business; or advocating wearable tech and digital screening tools for health management.
