Mild cognitive impairment and dementia

This module is about current thinking on mild cognitive impairment and dementia. It will look at the differences between normal ageing and cognitive impairment, the different types of dementia and the treatments available. 

Learning objectives:

• Describe the difference between cognitive impairment in normal ageing and that in dementia
• Identify the different types of dementia that are likely to be encountered
• Explain the treatment options available.
